Overview                   

Ventura County Hematology-Oncology Specialists Medical Group was founded by Dr. Kooros Parsa in 1971 on the principles of providing the highest quality treatment in the office-based setting.  It is a group of six physicians and one physician assistant dedicated to the specialized treatment of people with a variety of cancers and blood disorders.  Physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology and committed to state-of-the-art medical care. Nurses are board certified in Oncology and dedicated to delivering the best quality of care.

Friendly environment, flexible scheduling and a warm caring clinical staff  await patients in our Oxnard, Ventura and Camarillo offices. Treatments are administered in Oxnard and Ventura offices. Patients no longer need to travel outside Ventura County to receive comprehensive cancer treatment.  Occasionally, referrals are made to other cancer centers for treatments not available locally.

The physicians are  founding members of the Cancer Center of Ventura County located in Oxnard and participants of the Cancer Center at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura.  Specific cases are often presented at regular cancer conferences and confidentiality is always respected.

As clinical trials investigators for distinguished organizations such as Translational Oncology Research International (TORI), a non-profit clinical research organization in collaboration with UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center,  the Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Pharmatech Research Network, and the UCLA Community Research Network, the physicians at Ventura County Hematology-Oncology Specialists are able to offer access to the newest innovations in cancer care to provide the best treatment options to their patients here in Ventura County.
