New Patient Intake Coordinator

Summary:
The New Patient Intake Coordinator manages the intake process for new patients including registration, verification of demographic and insurance information, completion of required paperwork, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The position coordinates patient referrals from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other sources, obtaining necessary authorizations, scheduling appointments, and communicating referral information to patients and providers.

  • Schedule new patient appointments

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and comply with medical and legal regulations

  • Overall patient experience is delivered with positivity, warm demeanor and genuine attention

  • Have excellent communication skills and professional demeanor to represent the practice well - both in verbal and written communication

  • Maintain proactive approach and attention to schedule appointments and resolve potential scheduling conflicts

  • Extreme attention to detail when entering patient information in the electronic medical records and billing systems and in a timely manner

  • Strictly maintain HIPAA privacy protocols and procedures

  • Administrative tasks include but not limited to scanning and copying documents, mailing documents, preparing letters and correspondence, running office errands, uploading photos and documents

  • Must be able to maintain calm and exceptional demeanor when interacting with patients

  • Must pick up quickly on technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, EMR and other technologies added to the practice to streamline processes

  • Ability to work overtime if needed

  • Prepare documents for new patient charts, follow up with patients concerns, organize medical records and assist the Physician and the team as needed.

    Job Type: Full-time.

    Pay: Negotiable, from $24.00 depending on skills and experience.
